Nut butter

Make your own nut butter .. easy as ABC! High in nutrients like calcium, selenium and protein, this nut butter makes for the perfect snack. 
A for Almonds
B for Brazils
C for Cashews
BOOM! a nutritional punch in every teaspoon.

How to make:
1. Roast 2.5 cups nuts (1 cup almonds, 1 cup cashews, 1/2 cup brazils) at 180 degrees in the oven for 10 mins.
2. Allow to cool, then in a food processor, blend the nuts for a few minutes. Good idea to stop the blender every minute to push the mixture down into the business end of the processor.
3. Add 1 Tbs coconut oil or less depending on the consistency you want and a pinch of salt
4. Keep on blending.....can take up to 10mins - eventually the oils release and voila - nut butter.
5. Scoop out nut butter with a spatula into a jar and store in the cupboard.
​ To serve: put 1  tsp of nut butter in a medjool date for a decadent treat.
