Banana brekkie smoothie

Serves: 1 
Prep time: 3 mins
1. 
Blend
  • 200ml milk (almond, dairy or soy)
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 Tbs yoghurt (coconut or dairy)
  • 1/2 tsp honey (optional)
  • 1 tsp nut butter (peanut or make your own almond, brazil, cashew butter)
  • 4 ice cubes
  • 1 Tbs whey protein or cricket protein powder (a great high protein, high fibre alternative with a lighter environmental footprint) 
  • ½ tsp maca powder*
2. Stir in 1 Tbs of chia seeds, pour smoothie into a glass and sprinkle with ½ tsp cinnamon.
*optional. Maca powder has a caramel taste and is a delicious addition.
